ADOPTING AND IMPLEMENTATING REPUBLIC ACT NO. 10152 ALSO KNOWN AS THE MANDATORY INFANTS AND CHILDREN IMMUNIZATION ACT OF 2011 IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF PALUAN, OCCIDENTAL MINDORO
This ordinance adopts and implements Republic Act No. 10152, the Mandatory Infants and Children Immunization Act of 2011, within Paluan, Occidental Mindoro. It mandates comprehensive immunization for infants and children against vaccine-preventable diseases such as BCG, Hepatitis B, DPT, MMR, OPV, PCV, and HPV. The ordinance requires public and private health facilities to provide immunization services, obligates healthcare workers to inform parents about vaccination benefits, and directs the Rural Health Unit to conduct information campaigns. It also establishes continuing education for health personnel, allocates municipal funds for program implementation, and ensures compliance with national health standards to reduce child morbidity and mortality.
